Fall 2023 Age Divisions:

AGE GUIDELINES FOR PLAYERS: When you register, your child will automatically be placed in accordance with the Little League Age Division parameters. Please see the Little League Baseball Division Age Charts. For some returning players who played either above or below their age group in the past, we will make any necessary changes AFTER registration.

DIVISIONS and AGE GROUPS:

This fall we will be registering players in Co-Ed Baseball and Girls Softball. There is no Challengers Special Needs program in the fall.
Please Note: When you register your child, you will be offered only the age division as determined by your child’s birthdate, as shown in the list below. But if your child played in a division either above or below their age group in the past, please notify the registrars. We will make any necessary adjustments AFTER registration closes.

CO-ED BASEBALL - ages 6-18 (birthdates between 9/1/2004 and 8/31/2017)
6’s birthdates 9/1/16-8/31/17
7's: birthdates 9/1/15--8/31/16
8's: birthdates 9/1/14--8/31/15
9's (Minors): birthdates 9/1/13--8/31/14
Majors 10-12 birthdates 9/1/10—8/31/13
13-14’s (Juniors): birthdates 9/1/08--8/31/10
15-18’s (Seniors): birthdates 9/1/04--8/31/08 (players must still be in high school)

NEW BASEBALL PLAYER POLICY – League policy for baseball players new to the league: All new baseball players ages 10 and up must be evaluated before the start of the Fall 2023 season. This is to ensure the safety of players who are new to the league.
Note— Some new and inexperienced 10 and 11 year olds will be placed in the 9’s division if they cannot be safely placed on a 10-12’s Majors team.
Some returning 10 year olds may also be placed in the 9’s division if their past coaches indicate that they would be overmatched playing with 12 year olds.

GIRLS SOFTBALL
Minors (beginners) Ages 7-9 Birthdates 1/1/2013—12/31/2015
Majors Ages 10-12's Birthdates 1/1/2010—12/31/2012
Juniors Ages 13-14 Birthdates 1/1/2008—12/31/2009

NOTES: 1. If your daughter is Little League age 9 but is a returning and skilled player or is a new player with skills and prior softball or baseball experience she may be moved up to Majors by the Division Head.
2. If your daughter is age 10 but a beginner she will be placed in Minors so she can develop her skills

Please Note for ALL divisions:

• When you register your child, you must do it in the designated age division as listed above. But if your child previously played in a division either above or below their age group and has WSLL Board approval to do so again, we will make any necessary adjustments AFTER registration closes.
• Players NEW to the League may be placed in a lower age division.
• A players' designated division may be changed by division head to ensure player safety.
