After battling for 10 innings, spread over two days, the West Side Little League 9-10's Tournament Team finally lost to Kingsbridge Little League in a hard fought contest. Thanks to Tournament Team Coaches Jim Gaherty, Stephen Farinelli and John Kitson and to all the players for all their hard work and to all the parents for their support of this great team.
Westside 9-10's and Kingsbridge ended Friday's Loser's Bracket finale locked in a 5-5 tie after 8 innings. The game will continue Saturday, July 25th, at 4:30 pm at Peter Stuyvesant Little League's Con-Ed field, at 716 E. 16th St.
WEST SIDE 11-12's TOURNAMENT TEAM FINISHES LITTLE LEAGUE TOURNAMENT SEASON WITH A 5-2 RECORD, losing Monday's semi-championship game to Kingsbridge Little League.
Congratulations to Coaches Jose Aguilera and Michael Thomas and all the players and parents of this gutsy team for their impressive performance throughout the tournament. Your many come-from-behind wins and "Never Say Die!" spirit will long be remembered. You have made WEST SIDE very proud!
Many of these players will now compete as members of West Side's Hawks in a Babe Ruth Tournament and we wish them continued success.

In it until the last play, West Side's 9-10's fell short by just inches Friday night in their attempt to tie up the contest and go to extra innings.
Their next game is against Kingsbridge, Friday night, July 24th, at 5:30 at Harlem's Field on 121st St. off of 5th Avenue in Marcus Garvey Park.

THE AMAZING 11-12's Team BEAT Inwood Little League Wednesday night in another come from behind VICTORY! Down by 4 in the top of the 6th, they scored SIX runs to take a 7-5 lead and then held on to win 7-6!
Their next game is this Saturday at 1:30 AT OUR HOME FIELD--103rd & Riverside against Buczek Little League.

WEST SIDE'S SUPER SUNDAY! WEST SIDE WINS A PAIR!
The 9-10's juggernaut rolls on with another overwhelming victory beating Buczek Little League 18-5.
Their next game is Friday, July 17th at 5:30 at Inwood's field #1 -- Isham Street and Seaman Avenue at the north end of Inwood Park. You can get there by subway -- #1/9 to 215th Street. Then walk west up the hill, past Columbia's athletic fields which will be on your right, into Inwood Park and then a little bit north to the field.
The 11-12's roller-coaster team came from behind to beat Downtown Little League 5-4 in 7 innings with a two-out, walk-off home run. The chills and thrills from this team are not to be believed!
Their next game is this Wednesday, July 15th at 5:30, against Inwood at Harlem's field in Marcus Garvey Park at 121st Street and 5th Avenue.
