WSLL SPRING 2008 Update - DIVISION FIELD ASSIGNMENTS and CALENDAR

Dear Little League Families,

Now that registration is closed, the Division Heads and other administrators of the West Side Little League are doing all the work that has to be done to get ready for the Spring Season. This is a complex and time-consuming process and even though we are ahead of schedule it may take 5-6 weeks before you hear from your Division Head and/or Coach as to Team assignment and Schedule.

Expect the following Divisions to be set up last:
· Girls Softball--Minors and Major Girls
· Challengers
· 10-12 Hardball

This year we are returning to the League's traditional way of dividing 10-12 Hardball into two Divisions --MAJORS and MIDDLES-- based on age and skill. Note that all 12's will be placed in the Majors as now mandated by Little League International.

Please bear with us and refrain from contacting us with questions about coach preference, division preference, team assignment or schedule. That will only slow down the process and make the job of critical volunteers much more difficult. Know that this year there are 1,700 players that have to be placed on teams. If you do e-mail the website do not expect that your questions will be answered.

Waitlisted players will be contacted once they have been placed on a team. No checks will be deposited until the parent is informed that their child has been placed on a team. No child will be placed on a team after Monday April 21st.
