Dear WSLL Families:
There will be an Outdoor Skills Assessment for all Little League Hardball players ages 11 and 12 on Saturday October 20th at the 103rd and Riverside field. This assessment is for the following players only:
a) Players who were in the AA/10's Division in Spring 2007
b) Players who were in the AAA Division in Spring 2007
c) Players who were in the Majors Division in Spring 2007 but did not turn 12 until AFTER April 30th 2007
Players should come according to the following schedule which is based on the first letter of the player's LAST name:
A-D: arrive at 11:30 for warm-up; evaluated from 12-1 pm.
E-K: arrive at 12:30 for warm-up; evaluated from 1-2 pm.
L-R: arrive at 1:30 for warm-up; evaluated from 2-3 pm.
S-Z: arrive at 2:30 for warm-up; evaluated from 3-4 pm.
Please try to come at your designated time, but if you absolutely cannot make it at that time, you may come at one of the three other times that day. Players must bring their mitts and bats, and wear suitable baseball attire and cleats- remember, metal cleats are NOT ALLOWED.
The evaluation will cover Throwing, Fielding, Batting and Base running. Pitching and catching will be evaluated specifically at a later date, but pitchers and catchers MUST come on October 20th at their designated time for the general assessment.
The information from these evaluations will be used to help in the ongoing development of players, and to help create balanced teams in Spring 2008. If you were a Coach in AA, AAA, or Majors in Spring 2007, please reach out to your teams to encourage players to attend this evaluation. This evaluation is NOT part of the registration process.
