TOURNAMENT TEAM UPDATE!

WEST SIDE LITTLE LEAGUE'S 11-12'S TOURNAMENT TEAM WINS THE DISTRICT 23 2008 CHAMPIONSHIP!

Tuesday night, on our home field at 103rd, the West Side Little League 11-12's (MAJORS) TEAM beat Inwood by a score of 15-2 to become the FIRST West Side Tournament team to EVER win the District in this age group.

The entire Board sends its Congratulations and thanks to all the players, parents and to Manager Tom Olavson and Coach Dave Schwartz for this great victory and wishes it continued success ALL THE WAY TO WILLIAMSPORT!

Their next game is this Saturday at 11am in Brooklyn (I will let you know the field as soon as I know it).

On Monday, this team beat Inwood 6-5 in 8 innings on a walk-off solo home run to make us eligible for last night's Championship game.

A truly exciting season of Tournament Ball for this wonderful team and more to come!

9-10's
Our 9-10's team, having already chalked up two victories in the District 23 Little League Tournament, after winning the District in the (separate) Babe Ruth Tournament , now faces Felix Milan this THURSDAY (7/17/2008) at 5:30 up in Harlem at Marcus Garvey Field -- 121st on Mt. Come uptown and cheer this great team, coached by Jose' Aguilera and Josh Grumet.

Hope to see you there!

GO WESTSIDE!
