WSLL FALL BALL 2008 INFORMATION
The WSLL will be offering Fall Ball for Co-ed Baseball and Girls Softball in the following age groups ONLY.
8's COACH PITCH (OVERHAND) HARDBALL. For returning players from Shawn Patenaude's Spring 2008 Division and new players who turned 8 by April 30th, 2008.
9's KID PITCH HARDBALL. For returning players from Dave Blank/Paul Hsi's Spring 2008 and new players who turned 9 by April 30th 2008 )
10-12 KID PITCH HARDBALL. For returning Middles and Majors Players (Players from Moira Sullivan's 2008 Spring Middles and Lorrie Olavson's 2008 Spring Majors Division). NEW 10 year olds can apply with the understanding that they may be placed in the 9's after evaluation. NO NEW 11's or 12's should apply.
GIRLS SOFTBALL. For returning Spring 2008 Minors ( 8-10 Coach Pitch players) and returning Spring 2008
Majors (Kid Pitch 9-12) plus girls ages 8-12 who played WSLL Co-ed hardball in Spring 2008 or have comparable school or camp softball experience.
New players ages 9-12 will be accepted but NO inexperienced 8's (or younger) should apply as teams will be mixed age.
Junior/Senior Girls ages 13-15 should NOT register until contacted by Debbie Kling as to inter-league status.
NOTE:
13-16 HARDBALL -- DeWitt Clinton is scheduled to be closed for renovation and we have not been given (or guaranteed) a comparable replacement field yet. So we will NOT be registering Juniors/Seniors unless and until we receive permits for a comparable field. Please keep checking the WSLL website www.westsidebaseball.org to see if we are able to offer Juniors/Seniors Fall Ball this year.
REGISTRATION WILL BE ON-LINE for ONE MONTH ONLY at www.westsidebaseball.org STARTING in mid-July going through mid August.
Fee is $100 but scholarships are available -- please e-mail info@westsidebaseball.org for information.
The season will probably start the weekend of September 13th and go through the weekend of November 15th, weather permitting.
FIELD ASSIGNMENT AND SCHEDULE WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE UNTIL THE PARKS DEPARTMENT ISSUES PERMITS SO PLEASE BEAR WITH US AND REFRAIN FROM INQUIRING ABOUT THESE SPECIFICS . WE WILL POST THAT INFORMATION ON THE WEBSITE AS SOON AS IT BECOMES AVAILABLE.
